What are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin ceramic covers that are placed on your teeth. They can serve a number of different functions:
The psychological transformation that you can see in a patient – from someone that is uncomfortable with their smile to someone with a smile that they want to show the world – is what I am most passionate about. I feel it an honor to be able to give that back to my patients.

Porcelain Veneer Facts & FAQs
How much do porcelain veneers cost?
Dental veneers can range from $1000 to $1500 at Dental Art in Katy, depending on whether the tooth is damaged or cracked.
Will my insurance cover the cost of veneers?
In some cases, insurance will cover the cost of veneers. If the tooth is damaged, meaning there are chips or cracks, sometimes your insurance company will partially cover the cost of the dental veneer procedure.
Insurance will usually not cover veneer costs if the veneer is purely for cosmetic reasons. For instance, if you wish to fill a gap in your teeth or change the color or the shape of you teeth, the cost of the veneers will not be covered. Find out more about dental veneers and your insurance.
What types of veneers do you offer?
At Dental Art, we offer 2 types of veneers:
Traditional: We remove the front portion of the tooth.
LUMINEERS®: A thin shell that gets placed over your teeth, without removing any of the natural tooth structure.
What are LUMINEERS® and what do they cost?
Lumineers are a shell or porcelain placed on the front surface of your tooth – meaning it is not necessary to remove the natural tooth structure for placement.
The cost of LUMINEERS® is approximately the same as traditional veneers – somewhere in the range of $1,000 – $1500.
How long do dental veneers last?
Dental veneers can last up to 15 years or more; they can even last a lifetime if you take care of them.
Veneers do not require any more care than your natural teeth: Regular brushing, flossing and dental checkups should keep your porcelain veneers in top shape for a long time.
Alternatives to Traditional Dental Veneers
While traditional porcelain veneers are considered the ultimate treatment for many cosmetic issues, they are not always the best option for everyone. Here are some other options that we may discuss with you:
LUMINEERS®: Thin, porcelain veneers are fitted over your existing teeth
Composite Bonding: Composite filling material is sculpted over your teeth to fill minor gaps and imperfections.
Teeth Whitening: Power bleaching can help to brighten your teeth and remove stains.
